Turning Visions into Pleasant Homes
It all started in heart of Ohio’s Amish country on Paul and Mabel Miller’s farm in 1991. With a freshly cleaned up buggy shop, they put together a few dining room tables and chairs, as well as a bedroom suite from local Amish builders.
From the very beginning, we focused on carrying locally made Amish furniture. We continue to value the quality of the furniture and mattresses made by the Amish manufacturers around us. Our store has grown into a collection of beautiful custom and handcrafted hardwood furniture for every room of your home. In our efforts to sell high-quality furniture, we have also added recliners and sofas from Southern Motion and Catnapper. Our goal is to help you create your dream home with furniture that will last a lifetime. Stop in and see us. We cannot wait to help you get started.
1993 - 2001
Though Pleasant View Furniture’s beginnings were small, the business grew quickly. In 1993, a two-story building was built with a top floor showroom and the manufacturing facility of J&L Woodworking in the basement. By 1997 additions were made to the entire business, and their son, Paul Jr., assumed management of the manufacturing department.
2002 - 2013
In 2002, the manufacturing department moved to another building on the family farm. Around the same time, Paul and Mabel’s daughter Marie and her husband Leroy became partners in the retail store. Paul and Mabel sold the business to them in 2013.
2014 - Present
Pleasant View Furniture moved to a new 20,000 square foot showroom built across US. 62 from the family Amish farm. The third generation of the family, Darrin, Ryan, and son in-law Mark, run the retail department along with 4 full-time employees.
